Please Turn to Hymn Number U2
According to this story, Episcopal churches across the country are using the “U2 Eucharist” to attract younger visitors to the Church. The idea was devised by a parish priest in Maine who believes “the day will come” when U2 classics will be included in hymnals.
Unlikely but very interesting article complete with female priests and modern christians.
I will say this is kinda out there but it is intriguing to watch the modernization of church services nowadays. I remember when I was a boy in a non denominational church and we sang straight out of the Baptist Hymnal and non denominational churches now are singing songs to cutting edge music and not just piano and a choir, although there is definately a place for that if it's your 'bus', so to speak. I love the way worship is heading in the church but it can taken a little overboard I would think.
We love to take things overboard in this country, don't we?
