Check Out My New Wheels...

Disclaimer - I'm not trying to boast here by letting you know I have a new car, just wanted to share a bit of my life I thought was exciting. Please don't take this as me showing my dumb stuff off in your face, thank you.

I'm suburban pimpin now!

2006 Honda Oddysey, yo...

Aight, so yesterday I had an appointment to finish up our paperwork and meet with the dreaded finance manager at the Honda dealership. Me and my pops, who was along for the ride and the discussion, meet with said evil doer and begin the battle of the car payments. In short, I stuck to my guns on what I wanted to pay a month with a little padding they didn't know about or did and just didn't telegraph it, so they gave me about a thousand more for the piece of crap Saturn SL2 over blue book value so they could sell the car, which they did and as you can see I was a happy camper.

Things I learned on my car buying adventure:
1. The experience is not nearly as intimidating as I'd thought.
2. Do your homework and it's much easier to negotiate.
3. Take advantage of the free cokes they offer you while waiting.
4. Car salesmen have zero negotiating power.
5. If they want to sell you the car, they can do a lot to move on the price of the car they're selling.

Road trip!!

I found my Accord purchase not intimidating at all...of course Moseley did all of the negotiating, I just showed up and signed the p-work (and listened to the jazz by the finance manager)...I think I'll post my finance manager experience on my blog.
