Vikings 30, Saints 27

My frustration and anger is certainly directed towards the absolutely PITIFUL officiating of the game. By coincidence or not, this is the same official crew that blew that San Diego/Denver call a few weeks back. I was and still am pissed at the way that game was called, it was pitiful. The OBVIOUS face mask on Reggie’s third down run was not good, a game changer in retrospect. Not that some of the calls were brought on by the Saints and were legitimate but it was horribly officiated.

As I’ve said before, MANY TIMES, they need another kicker. That’s TWO, count ‘em, TWO game on the line kicks that Mar Tine missed. Inexcusable. You’re a kicker, make the freaking kicks. Anybody seen Taylor Melhalff? I’m sure John Carney is loving all of this while he’s nailing game winning field goals.

Kudos to Reggie Bush, he made some big time plays last night.

The Saints faced 3 opponents last night, the Vikings, the Referees and of course themselves, the toughest opponent of them all.

I have ZERO vocal chords today, please don't call me.

Texting is much better.

Whatever, get off of Martin. "You're a kicker, make the freaking kicks." Why aren't you saying to Meachem and Henderson, "You're a receiver, make the freaking reception." And how do you lay 11 penalties and four turnovers on a kicker. Kickers miss field goals, receivers miss receptions, safties get called for pass interferance, quarterbacks get intercepted, linemen miss blocks, linebackers miss tackles, etc. etc.
And John Carney??? What were you saying about him after the botched extra point after the River City Relay that not only cost us the game but the post season? Kickers miss field goals, and sometimes extra points. Period.
Thing is, we still remember the Morten Anderson days - the real "Mr. Automatic," and we got spoiled.

Let me tell you something mister...

I can lay it on Mar Tine if I like, you know why? Cause I'm the guy that was paying good money and screaming my freakin head off rooting this team on, that's why.

For a less emotional answer...

I lay it on Mar Tine because HE'S A KICKER, that's ALL he does. Actually, he's supposed to be MORE accurate when the game is on the line. Isn't he supposed to dream of these opportunities. And this is the 2nd potential game winning kick he's missed in 3 games, so guess what? I lay it on the kicker.

And obviously Sean Payton agrees with me, not you, because he's on injured reserve now and will be off the team, I guarantee you. As if he's really that injured.

Face it cab, kickers are GOATS, and Mar Tine plays the role very well right about now. It's not all his fault but he's off the team and Meachem and Henderson aren't.

One of the worst performances I've ever seen by the Saints...wait a minute, no it wasn't. But it was probably the worst I've seen by the Drew Brees led Saints.

And why is it so hard to find a good kicker. All we need to find is the 32rd best kicker in the world...doesn't seem like that much of a challenge.
